Cinema Quality HDTV Playback from Hard Drive HD Showstation is a high-definition digital video system offering incredibly vivid and lifelike playback quality with 6-times the sharpness of DVD Video. Available in both portable and rackmount configurations, HD ShowStation units deliver up to 4 channels of crystal clear video, graphics and animation from hard drive to HDTV compatible projectors, flat panels and monitors. Offering on-demand operator, sequenced and remote controlled playback, HD ShowStation was designed from the ground up for the demands of the live show, exhibit and presentation environments.  Built on a Windows2000 platform, HD ShowStation also runs and integrates high definition playback into popular presentation software programs such as MS PowerPoint and Macromedia Director.

Real-Time Clip Transitions and Camera Switching HD ShowStation's integrated control of the Folsom Research ScreenPro Seamless Switcher enables A/B Roll transitions between HD or SD clips, with audio-follow-video cross-fade duration automatically matched to ScreenPro transition rate. Additionally, pre-programmed, automated sequences of dissolve, cut and wipe transitions between high definition channels, HD or SD live video cameras, satellite feeds, MS PowerPoint slides, and VGA graphics can be created. Picture-in-picture and keying features are also supported. Manual input switching is also available using the on-screen Screenpro Control Panel.

Smart Visual Interface Playlist sequencing and playback of HD clips and graphics is simplicity itself with HD ShowStation's storyboard-type visual interface. Each clip in a playlist is represented by a visual ClipPic video icon. Using drag & drop, cut & paste, multi-select or right-click menus, clips are added, deleted, rearranged and trimmed. End of clip pause and wait time specifiers are fully supported. Keyword searchable clip notes and chapter-like bookmarks make finding sections in HD playlists a breeze. Clicking on a ClipPic icon accesses immediate playback from the selected point in the playlist, with an A/B Roll wipe or dissolve transition if using a ScreenPro switcher.

Designed for Live Shows, Exhibits and Presentations HD ShowStation was designed to deliver standard and high definition digital video and graphics on-demand as part of live shows, presentations and exhibits, and includes features that make it the clear choice for use in these venues. The system offers pre-programmed sequence, operator, and remote control operation of playback for jumping in and out of video clips seamlessly at will. HD ShowStation is compatible with popular show control systems such as those from Crestron and Dataton.

HD Clip Trimming HD ShowStation supports the setting of playback in and out points for real-time clip trimming. Incredibly useful for tightening-up in/out points or breaking out multiple clips from a large file. Encoding multiple clips to a single large file and using clip trimming can result in substantial time and cost savings over encoding individually.

Programmable Audio Level and Cross-Fade HD ShowStation allows setting the audio playback volume independently for each clip to balance playback levels between clips. Automatic audio fade-in, fade-out and cross-fade can also be selected for each clip.

6 - 24 Audio Channels When playing AC3 encoded clips, HD ShowStation's onboard Dolby digital decoder outputs 6 discrete channels of audio. This can be used for 5.1 surround or custom applications. Two channel Mpeg and Dolby encoded audio is also supported. Multiple channel HD ShowStation units output six channels of audio per video channel, with 24 audio channels available in the 4 video channel model.

Computer Graphics to HDTV Converter Converting computer graphics and digital photo files to HD ShowStation's HDTV format is simple with the included HDSS Graphics to HDTV Converter. Drag & drop 16:9 and non-HDTV formatted graphics of any aspect ratio and resolution for automatic conversion to HDTV format. File formats supported include BMP, TIF, JPG, TGA.
